If you are nearing the end of your lease, then you may be considering returning your vehicle to the leasing company. Besides any applicable mileage penalties, "excessive wear and tear" can cost you hundreds or thousands of dollars at lease-end. Use this handy guide to help you determine if your vehicle exhibits signs of "excessive wear and tear". If so, Eurotech can repair these blemishes at a fraction of the costs charged by leasing companies.

This guide is intended to assist you in understanding charges typically assessed by leasing companies if your vehicle has sustained any "excessive wear and tear" during the course of your lease. It will help you prepare your vehicle for inspection and help keep you from being hit by excessive "excessive wear and tear" charges.

• Seam separation not caused by negligent use.
• No more than 2 small singes (NOT HOLES).
• Dirt and stains easily removed by normal reconditioning.

• Visible tears, rips or cuts in upholstery.

• Three or more singes, or burns that create holes in the upholstery.

• Stains unable to be removed by normal reconditioning (ex. bleached areas or ink stains - any 
colored stains).

• Holes created by removing accessories (cell-phone or iPod mounting brackets, tv screens, etc.)

• Dirt and stains that can be removed easily during reconditioning.

• No more than 2 small burn marks or singes that do not go completely through the carpet binding.

• Stains unable to be removed by normal reconditioning (ex. bleached areas or ink stains - any colored stains).

• Three or more small burn marks or singes.

• Burns that go all the way through the carpet binding.

• Visible tears, rips and cuts.

• Small or minor bumper scratches that do no break the paint.

• Surface scratches easily removed by normal reconditioning or polishing.

• Scratched, damaged or gouged plastic bumpers.

• Surface scratches that are deep into the paint (you can feel them with your finger).

• Poorly completed past repairs: sanding marks, mismatched color, paint runs or sags, "orange peel" paint, dirt in paint, solvent "pops" or "pinholes in painted areas, "birdseyes" or "craters" in any painted surfaces.

• Excessive scratches any location on the exterior of your leased vehicle.

• Door dings and minor dents smaller than a half-dollar coin, and difficult to see - on no more than 2 body panels or doors.

• Dents and dings on more than 2 body panels.

• Dents or dings that have caused damage to the paint.

• Poorly repaired Dents or dings (rippled panels).

• Highly visible Dents or dings on horizontal surfaces (hood, roof, trunk-lid).

• Excessive scratches in any location on the exterior of your leased vehicle.

• Small chips in glass not in the path of windshield wipers are usually considered normal wear and tear by most leasing companies.

• Glass chips in the windshield.

• Bulls-eye or running cracks in any window.

• Scratched Glass.

• Cracks in any lens cover is considered excessive wear and tear by most leasing companies.
